Pics courtesy of Jorge Merino's post at TZ.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Clad inside the refined Trainmaster watchcase is a C.O.S.C. certified automatic movement, the ETA caliber 2836-2. The superb accuracy of the watch echoes the pursuit of precision that lies at the core of our brand spirit. The influence of the Ball vintage desk timepiece takes form in the numerals and the use of the minute track punctuated with hour markers. The hour markers are Ball’s renowned self-powered micro gas tubes that enable unparalleled night reading capability. The slightly domed dial, finished with a radiant sunray pattern, catches light from every angle. Its simplicity sets a perfect platform to display the contrasting metal numerals. The 0.4mm thick Arabic hour indexes give a substantial feel and a three-dimensional aspect. The stainless steel case measures 41mm, is water resistant to 50 meters and is shock-resistant to 5,000G’s. This one really caught my eye. I like the dial design as I have been somewhat put off by the Ball's tubed cardinal's, but this dial is clean and refined imo. I've been eyeballing the Omega Aqua Terra Chronometer as a potential purhcase but this one has me thinkin'... What says you in regards to the two watches? Retail for this is supposed to be around $1650 but we'll see how that plays out. I believe the Aqua Terra can be had for just under 2 beans... A poll cuz' I'm a dork and you can register your opinion without really posting... Here's the Aqua Terra that yanks my crank: ![]()

I would love the Ball if it did not have the day and date on it. With that in mind, I would go for the Omega.

Oh, my ... I do love this Ball. I have seen their other watches, and was not that impressed. But this one I want. Ball is it for me.

Love the classic military dial and the 3D indices of the BALL are outstanding. The split day-date bother me a little, but the design is so much superior to Omega (design is my problem with most Omega) and I am sure the quality is at least equal!
