So what you are saying is only guilty people apologize?..an apology can be ones defense on a position they may have taken and not one of admission to any guilt or wrong doing....:)

Okay. I'll play.

I find it hardly likely that someone would apologize for doing something right, don't you? As to how an apology can be construed as a "defense on a position..." well, you've got me there. Semantics were never my strong suit. Oh, well. Looks like I've learned to keep my mouth shut...or stay on WUS.

What's the name of the game? I simply gave another viewpoint as to why someone may apologize...there are many definitions in the dictionary none of which say it is an admission of guilt that I know of ?...maybe Sean wanted to fit in with the clique and therefore apologized...why would that make you come up with the assumption that either you shut up or stay at WUS? If you are here only to stir the pot than maybe you should stay at WUS:)

I came here at the recommendation of a friend, and to provide a balance from some of the more emotional/irrational aspects of debate on a large board like WUS. To my detriment, I allowed myself to get riled by this thread. It's the same old crap about being right. Not talking about anything of merit, but being right. I have made more mistakes in my life than I care to mention. I gave up expecting to be right a long time ago. But come on, a post beating up on a guy, calling him a "fart sniffer," and linking to some argument elswehere, has zero merit whatsoever. It's just troublemaking - or stirring the pot as you might say. I should have left well alone, but I guess that is all water under the bridge now. I just get a bit fed up of this stuff. No disrespect to 3T, you, or yamahaki was intended.

Thanks, O.A. It's been a bad day/week/month/start to '07. I'm a little tired...but I do have a sense of humor. I can take the knocks...and dish a few out every once in a while. And I do like it here on 3T.:)

Or perhaps this curious thing, announced today in Basel. Made from steel "obtained" from the wreck of the Titanic, with a dial of black lacquer paint containing coal dust from the same source. All sounds very dubious to me. Oh, and a price range of $7,800 to $173,100. Yikes!

I will take the opportunity to say:

GENTLEMEN REST YOUR SPINCTERS!!

We all know Sean's M.O. and know he's a good shit!! He is the fart to the sniffer.

A bit vulgar and coarse, of course...

Nice to have new blood and fresh discourse.

Haha! I like that. And I agree. Rob a grave and make a watch. Morbid indeed. Plus, it looks like something that would be given away free with a DVD of that dreadful movie of the same name. I remember seeing it in London. It was so awful the crowd were cheering for the iceberg to strike before the ship left port. No such luck. Only another three hours to go...:D

Now you have gone too far, LS!! How dare you attack such a wonderful flm!! I have just finished re-watching it for the 47th time and weeping in the dark...face4.gif

Perhaps the print adverts should feature the extras from the post-sinking portion of the film... The watch might actually look better on the "frozen" extras.

No offense to any Titanic victims or their families should they be reading...
