And how does it change the appearance of a watch? I came across a thread on another watch forum that talked about blasting a Seiko Monster but I did not know what they were talking about it. Has anyone else done that? How is it done? Thanks.

It is referred to as both bead blasting and sand blasting. It gives the Stainless steel a somewhat dull, non-reflective surface look, very similat, IMO, to that of Ti.... This C-D Combat Command has a blasted finish as does the Watchadoo bracelet on the 3T ORSA! ![]()

Yea it can give some watches a very very cool look. But it dose not work for all watches. But most military and sport types can look good with being blasted.

That's a great site to know about. Thanks! He also replaces mineral crystals with sapphire or sapphlex ones. Any idea where you can find a sapphire/sapphlex crystal for the Monster? Last edited on Mon May 14th, 2007 05:27 pm by OrologioPazzesco |

Any idea where you can find a sapphire/sapphlex crystal for the Monster? Try Seiko direct as both the Blue Monster and the Yellow Monster came with Sapphire crystals. You might also try http://www.chronograph.com/store/index.asp as they carry a plethora of Seiko parts!

I'll say ditto to Duarte's great service, here's a mod he just did for me not long ago, Sandoz HK sub with MKII Bund dial, MKII black date wheel and "Tudor Snowflake" hands hand6.gif Cheers, Griff Attachment: DSCN1721.jpg (Downloaded 43 times)
