I still pick up the occasioanal Invicta and have to agree that if it houses a Selitta SW200 I would buy an Invicta over a Bathy's or O7 at a third of the price all day long hand6.gif If Invicta shows signs of improvement in CS/QC I wouldn't hesitate to buy them more often.....but the price would have to be more realistic like years ago when we had the $50. off coupon:D the Seapro 43mm w/miyota is still at $249  a far more superior watch imho as is the Orient power reserve I just picked up which is just Awesome imho....so if it doesn't have an eta I'm heading back to my roots and sticking to the brands that have proven themselves w/me and other WIS...that's why we are here..to share our experienceswatch2.gif

I would like to try an SW200 movement at some point...

The Orient Power Reserve is a nice looking too and you know Orient makes a good watch for a good price. What is the price point on that Orient Power Reserve?

It will be! subtlelaugh.gif

I don't have a problem with Miyota movements at all (as long as the watches are priced appropriately)...they are an accurate and proven workhorse.  The ETA 2824-2 movemnts are nice to have, and they will be even nice after 2010 when we know for sure that ETA actually built them.

As for Invicta, you know my feelings an that.  No matter how good the watch, it still has the name Invicat on it (or in some cases - Nvicta), and I refuse to contribute to the lifestyle of that sleazeball Lalo, especially through SNBC!  I have a few very nice, older Invicta's that I have a hard time wearing, simply because of the Invicta brand name (2014, 2015, both black and lume Military, Executive)...there are just too many nice Orients, Seikos and others in the Invicta price range now.

Miyota movements can get down and rock and roll. I have several watches with it. :)

Some of the Asian movements are not to bad even and in many cases the SW200 will out do them.

I have seen some very cool Invicta watches. Never had a auto. The 3 my brother got from me were quartz. The old Zoo collection. :dude:

And he has 2 of my former Crotons. All nice watches I just grew out of wanting most of my quartz watches. :)

One Invicta I do like is the 9937 pre-2005 with the Eta 2824. I have one I am trying to swipe off a fella for a old 22 revolver I have that I know he wants. I'll trade him for it I just won't buy it from him. LOL :D

But I can so relate to what Oscar is saying here. The Invicta rep needs some major repair in house! :?

Probably some kind of carbon fiber or Kevlar...but in Invicta's case....most likely a substandard polyester!:D
