I'm partial to the 38...it has a much more traditional look and the wine colored one gives it sort of a Deco flavor.  BUT, my favorite Breitling is the COLT GMT Automatic!

I like them both allot and one is on my radar for hopefully 2008 if not sooner. :)

Of the 2 if I had to pick right now I think I would go for the 46. Just like the look a little better than the 38. But do like them both lol.

An awesome watch. hand6.gif

I don't have any hands on with these but I do know what I like, and I like the big bad 46. Looks just fantastic! Brown or blue for me please. And I think while you're at it you might as well get both the rubber and mesh.

The logo looks awesome on that clasp. I really like the way this one looks. It's a lot less fiddly than most of their watches. I woul love to have one of these as my first breitling. Might be a while though I just bought another speedmaster.

The 46 definitely looks better - but it's already too big. For me that is. Don't like the small seconds on the 38 at all. The mesh bracelet is a great idea. Prices are to be expected as "too high for what they are". There have been statements on TZ-UK that these will be definitely in the USD 3k+ price range:
http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31229&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=
Includes also some comments on watches seen "in flesh".

As there have been 2 very classic divers introduced in Basel, my decision was to wait for the new Longines Legend Diver in it's classic compressor case. Price will also be high - but what I've seen so far (announced USD 1600 range) it will be much more reasonable.

TY everyone for the replies hand6.gif Most AD's don't have these in stock as of yet but are expecting them by July w/ a large waiting list:D This Bretling is a throwback to 1957 and the 46 is what I'm shooting for....the buckle clasp is new for Breitling and the dial is clean....just have to choose a color....right now the Breitling blue is in the lead w/ the black 2nd.watch2.gif
