I really never wanted to sell any of my watches, but I have decided to sell the ones I don't wear much to finance the purchase of a new one. In general, everyone I have dealt with has been what I have expected. They make an offer, I accept or decline, they send money, I send out my watch. Fine...

I have now run into a small problem. How long do I give someone to send me the money before I take another offer? In our huge chain of emails the money was supposed to be sent today Monday July 9. The purchaser wanted the original receipt with the watch, which I actually found. I have sent two subsequent private messages asking him that if he didn't want the watch to tell me, but of course nothing. I was able to tell the last time he had logged on, and it was certainly after I sent a PM asking if he was still interested.

What should I do?

BTW it was not on this site.

I agree. If the buyer wants the watch then he should pay or should have already paid for it. If you have another viable offer let him know he as X amount of time to respond and then you move on to the next buyer...

I have not sold a watch but have sold a few other things. ;)

If a person puts money down I will hold it. If not they have 72 hours till I move to the next interested party. Failure to commit, you snooze you loose. :) I will make exceptions to close family and friends.

That is why I never waste time sending a payment on anything I buy online. I may loose for sitting on the fence but not for lack of paying. LOL :D

If I can sell these last two watches, that is it. I'm back to just buying them. They maybe few and far between now, but at least I won't have to put up with the BS.

Thanks for letting me vent a little.

What I do is give the buyer 24 hours from the time I send an email telling them how to pay.  If I do not get anything within that time, second buyer gets dibs, again 24 hours.  And it goes on and on.  Wish it did not have to be this way but there are so many deadbeat bidders on the various sales forums.

Am I just a true WIS and expect WIS like reponses from others who buy watches or does it really not matter to others? I sold a watch to someone, made sure I sent them the tracking number and sent them two emails telling them make sure when the watch is delivered to tell me if they got it. Of cousre I got no response. I made sure that the watch was delivered, made sure it was signed for, and nothing. No response, not even a thank you.

I know when I have ordered a watch, I have made sure my wife was home, made sure she would answered the door, I have even made her open the package, and check out how cool the watch was.

Do others not care? Are others who buy watches really not that passionate, I just don't understand.

Shoot with every watch I pace the floor the day there are due. LOL :)

Unpack/unwrap like a kid at Christmas and spend a good while just checking out the new watch. Then try it on and if no sizing is needed I wear if for awhile if not the rest of the day. ;)

I am so into my watches some of my friends think I have gone bonkers or something. :D
