Well....it looks like getting my RLT repaired here in the states is more of an ordeal than I thought. Looking around for another diver I drifted back to Bill Yao's site and agin the blackwater caught my eye. ( as did the sea fighter for that matter)

any of you guys have the blackwater or have friends who could relate any experience with it. ?

thanks

Bill

2824 movement, excellent fit & finish, sapphire crystal, threaded caseback (major competitor has a snap-on caseback), what's not to like?

Biggest single gripe you'll hear regards size.  Blackwater has such a smooth tapering profile it wears smaller than it measures.

Bill Yao screws together an excellent watch.

*(..last photo w/ 600T just for some scale)

Hope it helps.

Man I love the way the bezel angles right into the domed crystal... very cool.  Looks like a great pickup if you go for it... hand6.gif

Great watch. The size is just right for the styling. I find myself drifting the Yao's site from time to time and drooling over most everything he's doing...

Out of curiosity, what happened to the RLT? And why such a hassle to get repaired?

thanks guys...............I have to say I'm partial to mirror polished steel finish so the sea fighter is very attractive. Those dimensions on the sea fighter don't look all that much bigger than the blackwater do they?

am I to assume that while shipping starts feb 08 it could be 4 months before you see your custom sea fighter?

Paxman, I'm happy to give you my thoughts on my RLT via private E-mail if you wish
