I'm kinda dissapointed on the performance of the Breitling and the Doxa. When subjected to presssure tests that they are rated at, the Breitlings crystal cracked and the Doxa just stopped. In both cases they tested a second watch, which passed.

hmmm. Seems they do the pressure test on a 'golden' unit. When you test one straight off the line, its not up to par, eh? In the defense industry that would be considered dealing in non-conforming hardware, subject to financial penalties. Lucky these guys are commercial!

The testers didn't know if the high pressure caused tension on the movement or if the crystal sinks stopping the movement. The second sample sent by Doxa did not have a problem. Watch Time said the watch stopped at 75 ATM and the watch is rated at 750 meters or 2460 feet. The original was tested at 93.75 ATM. I am none to bright, but isn't an ATM 33 feet, so 75 ATM would be 2475 feet and 93.75 ATM would be 3093.75 feet? What do I know???

How about this... This article in Watch Time appeared in a German watch magazine called Uhren Magazine about a year ago. Maybe Watch Time ran out of articles to run??? I posted a similar question over at WUS in the Doxa forum. Here is the link to the original post. http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=30386&). And let's not forget that all the magazines seem to run all the same stories within an issue of each other. Are they all owned by the same parent company??

Nothing personal but I walk into labs all the time and pick there shit apart. If this is the same one that the Doxa case back collapsed enough to stop the movement, and etc. those tests are mainly for add campaigns, and if you really want to get specific and want to pay me enough I can make the test say what ever personal bias or preconceived notion you want it to. I can hit the chamber with a controlled impulse of pressure that will make things go really loopy. Will not give you data worth any thing but it can easily be done. Personaly I would not worry about it. Alot of arm chair quarterbacking if you ask me and if I do not personaly know the evaluators then I do not trust anything.
