I'm looking to invest in a thick 22mm mesh bracelet for some of my larger divers.  I want the thickest, meanest mesh out there, under $200 ;)

I see that Otto Frei has great prices on the Omega, and I like that it doesn't use end pieces.

Thanks!

Mark & Otto

I saw that Thanks!  It bothers me that in the pics, it looks like the end piece tube is bent or flared at the ends, which doesn't quite look right?  I also wonder how the thickness of this compares to the Omega.

That is nice. Wish I had seen that before I ordered the one they show in the middle (the luxury mesh) I ordered for the LM-7 when it arrives. Of course I don't know if the .08 mm (mine is 3.2 mm) will make much difference for the $75.00 price difference. I wonder how you can adjust the size of that one. Just on the buckle? Anyone have that mesh?

Omega mesh is pretty thick and lacks that tube at the ends, it's just open mesh links through which you run your springbar or screw-tube.  They're all over the 'bay.

Oscar, when I looked at that page they have them for 99 Euros which today equals $142.42 for that 3.2 mm mesh band. If I remember I gave $110 at Lonestar for the same band.

Hi guys, thanks for all the responses!

After se digging, I found the same thread over in the SCTF archives http://www.larrybiggs.net/scwf/index.php?mod=103&action=0&id=1147961839

It seems like the list goes something like this from thickest to thinnest:

Shauer Artus - 5.2mm $490.

Another Timedesign (I think) - 5mm 400+ euros.

Omega Mesh - 4mm or slightly thicker, under $200 at O Frei.

Jurgens Monster Mesh - 4mm $185.

Stowa Milanaise - $145, unknown thickness.

Many in the 3 - 3.5mm range.

Found some on ebay at 22mm wide 2.8mm thick around $26.99 and a 20mm wide 3.4mm thick for $21.99!

I think I will go with the Omega, as I like the way the mesh links encompass the springbar instead of using a tube.  I like the look and it allows me to squeeze it into a 21mm Doxa lug :D  Plus in my opinion, it seems that the Omega has a coarser weave, more openess and therefore more texture than the German models which look to be "flattened" somewhat.  Maybe it is my imagination.

Thanks again for all your help!
