This is all very interesting this time around.  The first one I bought at Thanksgiving came in pristine condition.  The second that arrived on Friday was not showroom perfect.  No protective blue film on the bracelet, no dial protection, caseback did have the plastic AND several minor scratches in various places.

I wonder if Bulova reclaimed these from dealers because there is a new version coming out.  Actually, on the Bulova/Accutron website, the blue version does not have a red tip on the seconds hand whereas mine Shnoop special does.

Perhaps this is the last of the ETA 2824 versions because Bulova/Accutron is having difficulty buying that movement?

Could these sales in any way be connected to the purchase of Bulova by Citizen?

Maybe more deals will be forthcoming.

Look for Bulovas and Accutrons at TJ's in the near future??

I'm pretty sure the sales are due to the sale of Bulova/Accutron to Citizen and probably include excess and older stock...my local AD is closing them out as well....for the 2 I received from Shnoop the 1st time around were completely sealed in wrap including all paperwork and hangtags....sorry to hear of any thing other... I reccomend e-mailing Shnoop fromt their site and see what they have to sayhand6.gif

FWIW, my local Jewel is closing out Accutron, Bulova, and Caravelle. Dumping Citizen too.

Hi

What would be the proper way of filling out the

warranty card for this watch? No markings or

stamp from an AD.

Is The 5 year warranty still good??

Thanks

Billy S.

I ordered on the 5th and noticed the status on "my account" showed shipped on the 6th.  I read this thread, so emailed them and got a reply late last night that watch had shipped and they gave me a USPS tracking number.  Went to USPS site, entered tracking number and watch is in Greensboro, NC.....so I should have it delivered to my office on Monday.  All I gotta say is..........

I received an email from Shnoop at 3:45am this morning.  They replied to my email, concerning account status remaining as "Pending" since placing the order on 12/3, with the following :

Thank you for your recent order. We were waiting on a re-supply of the 28B83 model, which was pretty popular and sold out rather quickly. We have since received it and will have your order shipped out by Monday via USPS.

I can only hope that the shipment is new stock and equal to the condition of those received by everyone that took advantage of this deal when it was first offered in November.

Chris

Hi All

I dont know if my blue one was factory fresh or not.

I dont think it was. As I said it did come with all paperwork and

did have the plastic on the back but none on the dial crystal.

Also the blue was only on the part of the clasp that was signed.

The remainder of the bracelet had no protection at all. Also

the hang tag had a price on it with a stock number, I believe.

Looks much like it was in a showcase.

The watch is perfect in every way. It is in the exact same condition

i would expect if I purchassed it from a dealer out of the case.

Keeps great time so far and it is indeed beautiful. No scratches or

dings anywhere. GREAT WATCH especially for the money.

FWIW, a good number of watches come without plastic on the crystal. At least in my experience. The plastic can come off in handling anywhere along the line. The bracelet blue tape should be on unless it was removed by a Jeweler for sizing or to put in a display case in a store.

Mine just arrived here at my office.  I got the blue dial.  Beautiful watch.  The blue is very deep, almost like a black.  This watch and bracelet are top quality - especially at $250...really nice.  I would't pay the $995 suggested list price...but I would pay $500 with no problem.  More of a dress diver.  Some brushed finishes, but mostly shiny.  The bracelet is really, really long.  Almost two bracelets in one ;)

I'll post some add'l comments and pics in the New Arrivals section, when I get a chance.
