I don't know about that new Omega Oscar, quartz/auto auto/quartz sounds a lot like fear of commitment to me! Well it's sharp looking anyway! Black Orient for me today! ![]() Last edited on Tue Oct 15th, 2013 05:45 pm by OldeCrow |

First time I've seen this Omega...great looking combo with that unique dial color IMO! So what's the Hybrid auto/quartz thing about??? Is this just a mechanical rotor that charges a capacitor that in turn powers the quartz movement??? (Sort of like the Seiko kinetic???).

TY Chris & Chris!...the Omegamatic had 2 versions as you will read in the link below, mine is made after 1996 and has a rechargeable battery powered by the rotor based on a eta 205.911,Omega Cal.1400.I have been wanting one for a few years and finally pulled the trigger on a near NOS at a great price imho from a FB friend. At 36mm it still wears fairly well and I have put it on a Omega rubber since the pic above, the bracelet just fit me,but a bit tight,so the seller is looking where he may have placed the extra links as they were not in the box,it was this dial that I really wanted and does not come up often as the black dial version. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega_Seamaster_Omegamatic
