Thats really unfair from you with your Zodiac pic today Chris !!!

I have the chance to pick this Sea Wolf 68 new for a damn good price !

I Like the case with the screwed glass ring like Zodiac, Squale and other.

Since a few days I look exactly for this kind of divers.crazy.gif

Whats your thoughts regarding the STP1-11 movement ?
And your general thoughts of the watch ?

Awesome Phil! cool.gif

It's a great watch with very nice build quality and finishing imo. My particular one is an LE model, which I don't think is available anymore, but I see Zodiac is offering a model currently that is really close to this one with an Orange date window surround and Orange surround on the 12 o'clock bezel marker. There are a bunch of really cool options with the SSW68 lineup!

One of the really cool features (imo of course) is the safety system on the unidirectional 60-click bezel which requires you to press down on the bezel mechanism to adjust the bezel position and prevents unintentional rotation of the bezel when you are diving really deep or timing your bbq.

The STP1-11 movement was a concern of mine prior to picking mine up, but mine has proved to be extremely reliable and accurate with no issues at all. My only "issue" has been that when I manually wind my particular movement, there is a greater than expected resistance in winding the movement to get everything going. I've asked other Zodiac owners if they have similar issues, and I haven't heard of anyone with a similar issue so it makes me wonder why mine has such high mechanical resistance when winding, but I've had no issues at all.

I'm sure you already know this, but it's basically a ETA 2824-2 clone, but more than that because imo, the STP factory in Switzerland is doing things the right way from a manufacturing standpoint and they offer more customization/finishing options than ETA or Sellita offer on the 2824 caliber, which is cool.
