I saw this a few days ago and was close to ordering.

But that nonsens bezel stopped me.

What a ridicolous bezel with tachymeter scale.

But the biggest nonsens of this watch is that the inner ring with the dive time scale is fixed. crap.gif

After a lot of questions from costumers why those nonsens bezel the manufacturer plans a new version with a new bezel.

word was the weird bezel was to keep Doxa from saying it was a copy and suing...either way I must say that other than the lighter, thinner bracelet and weird bezel, this could pass for a Doxa as the case is better imho with the satin finish..dial is every bit as good as a Doxa also!I couldn't be happier with a $179. watch!

Yes, only the "strange" bezel but the watch looks very good. Especially at their price point.

I like what I see.

But its simple at that to design a normal dive time bezel.
Its not necessary to design a decomp bezel like DOXA or even with a tachymeter scale. subtlelaugh.gif

I wait for the newer version with different bezel.

I wait for the newer version with different bezel.the Tactical frog is an awesome bargain in todays micro world...and as far as a new bezel design it could be some time if they do change it? apparently a tachy bezel does work on a 3 had watch,I am no math wiz,so it is beyond me...from a thread on another forum discussing the Tactical Frog: "In another thread, a user baffled me: he said this rotating tachymeter could actually be more practical on a 3-hand diver than a fixed one... I thought about it and of course he's right: rotate the bezel so that the dot is in front of the seconds hand when you start measuring speed. Then look where the hand is when you reach 1 km and the bezel shows your speed! No need to wait that the seconds hand is at 12'o clock to start timing"

Rotating scale/Wikipedia: Some tachymeter scales are on a rotating, indexed bezel. This allows two additional modes of use: The tachymeter bezel can be aligned with a free running second hand, and, more subtly, can be used to find the average speed over longer times/distances. Set the rotary bezel index to the position of the minute hand, note the current mileage/distance. Glance at the position of the minute hand on the tachymeter scale 60 units of distance later, and average speed will be indicated. A little mental math allows interim averages, easiest at 1/4 (15 unit) and other integer values. Alternatively, instead of using minute hand, align index bezel to the second hand and observe passing one unit of distance when position of the second hand will then indicate average speed.
