Congrats Mike on a Awesome Archimede Pilot! I personally like this white dial model much better thatn the customary black and it really sets the watch off imho and I too have boxes of black dial watches and have grown fonder of the white dial  ...a nice DiModell classic chrono strap in black with white stitching will set that beauty off just right imhowatch2.gif

Thanks. I have that strap and was gonna try it. I also ordered two Di-Modell Jumbo straps (one honey and one black) for it from Bob Davis at mywatchmaker.net. He has them on sale for $27!!

The white dial is sweet...  will look equally good on brown or black pilot style strap..

Lume report from last night is good on this watch. While it is no Seiko beater, it maintains a steady readable glow throughout most of the night. It is better than my first impressions. It doesn't charge up super bright, but it has a slow decay which I like.

I put a Di-Modell strap on it today to change the look a bit. Will try some of the other suggestions over the weekend.

I'm thinking a Hirsch Panny Style in brown or tobacco...

I was wondering if you could post any pictures of the Pilot with the black Di-Modell Jumbo strap?  I just ordered the black face Pilot a week ago and was looking for a "pilot" style watch strap without rivets.  The Jumbo seems to fit the bill but I was hoping to see pictures of the strap on the Pilot before pulling the the trigger.  Thanks!
