Got this one today from ebay. It is much the same as the Steinhart/Robert/Debaufre watches out there. Except Grovana actually has the blue bezel models. The others are out.

Watch is 42mm. Nicely done dial and markers. Large, easy to grab crown, solid SS screw-in case back and a uni-directional bezel with a lume dot. UNLIKE the Steinhart I have, the bracelet uses pins and not screws. It also seems a tad thinner and doesn't have a signed buckle. But, it wears just fine. The movement is supposed to be an ETA 2824-2, but some models ship with SW-200's. There is no real way for me to tell unless I pop the case back off. Then I'm not sure what I'd be looking for.

Either way, its a darn nice watch for the $$$.

Congrats Mike on a real stunner...I like this Grovana better than the Steinhart/DeBaufre....maybe it's just the name!hand6.gif...your's would have a eta 2824-2 as it says 25j on the dial....and hopefully those with the SW200 would say 26j....but if you were to pop the back you would either see the eta trademark along with 2824-2 inscribed on the movement base or sw200 for the Selittawatch2.gif

Thanks for the Info. I will look and see when I get a chance. Here is some info on Grovana and Revue Thommen:

"
After extensive discussions, the two renowned Swiss companies REVUE THOMMEN AG, Waldenburg and GROVANA WATCH CO. LTD., Tenniken have decided to cooperate: Based on an exclusive licence agreement signed in the beginning of January 2001, the famous REVUE THOMMEN watches will be produced and distributed world-wide by GROVANA WATCH CO."

"The company REVUE THOMMEN was founded as a watch manufactory in Waldenburg about 150 years ago. Ever since the REVUE THOMMEN company has been producing precision instruments for the aviation industry as well as watches, making Waldenburg a well-known little town world-wide. The GROVANA WATCH CO. LTD. is an established enterprise since 1924 that has developed itself to one of Switzerland's most renowned watch manufacturers. With their world-wide distribution organisation, their high quality level and their complete after-sales support, the GROVANA WATCH CO. LTD. has got the essential knowhow in order to re-establish the REVUE THOMMEN brand at the appropriate distribution level in the market."

"GROVANA WATCH CO. LTD. will do some changes in the REVUE THOMMEN collection. First priority will be given to the model line 'Airspeed', but also the traditional, mechanical range (Cricket) will be given a new chance.
The two partners are convinced that with this co-operation the foundations of a successful future of the brand 'REVUE THOMMEN' have been layed."

Yes, it glows. But, just adequately. It is readable through most of the night, so its a keeper.

Also, I took the back off and confirmed that it is an ETA 2824-2 movement. I Found the ETA mark (thanks to Oscar for the suggestion.) Actually, it is a nice looking movement. I would look ok with the peek-into back if they had one.
