For those of us without a winder, you do need to either shake the Orient or wear it every day to keep from having to fiddle with the dotw button.


It's always nice to have a winder to have your automatics ready at a moment's notice but it is by no means a necessity. Realize the automatic movement will stop after being at rest for a period (I think about 40-42 hours on an fully wound Orient) and you will then need to reset it.

I may be odd but I derive pleasure from winding and setting my watches.

Ya gotta have both...like PAX says, the Monster is a classic (and I have 3), but I also have the MAKO in blue and black...GREAT watches all!
