Just picked up this Benrus from a local estate sale. I believe it is from the 60's. So far it is keeping excellant time. The alarm works by vibrating discreetly on the wrist. A good way to let you know the meeting has been going on much too long.

Actually, the red tipped hand is for setting the alarm. The top crown winds the alarm and pulls out to set the alarm hand and stays out to activate the alarm when the hour hand alighns with it. As far as I know, it is original.

I like it. I find myself drawn to the vintage genre more and more lately.

The alarm is sort of a more modern feature too (the vibe that is).

Hey Edgel - that's a beauty. Alarm watches from the 60s and 70s are so very cool. The discrete alarm is the way to go - just a vibration oj the . No electronic beep, beeps there! Jaeger LeCoultre Momovoxes, Omega Momomatics and Seiko Bell-Matics (a 4006A 41mm-cased version of which I own) from that era all used similar alarm functions. There is also the ubiquitous Cricket to think about! Glad you got one and welcome to the "old alarmers" club! Wear it in good health!
