Well, I was at walmart today and decided to look at the watches and noticed these Armitron for 70 bucks.  Its 43mm  at the 10 to 4.  About 45mm 3 to 9.  Nice rubber strab with deployant clasp.  Exhibition caseback.  The movement is chineese, its different than others I have seen.  It even hacks.  Has goldtone bezel that does not turn.  For the money its a good looking watch to tool around in.  After I bought this I noticed they had it with a tire tread strap that I liked but I didnt feel like messing with it.   Excuse my arm... I got sunburned last week.

Ha ha, you bit.  They almost got me too.  Let us know how it works out.  Lots of companies jumping in the autos these days.  Especially with Chinese movements.  Gonna be fun over the next year to see the designs these companies come out with.  Congrats!  Armitron has a case that looks similar to The original Renato.  I so hope they put a Auto in that case.  I don't know why.....  But, it would make me laugh.

Thanks Guys.  I dont know if anyone got me as I knew exactly what I was getting.  I like the looks so thats what matters most.  Price was right for what I got.  Is keeping good time so far.  I own other chinese movements and havent had any trouble.  So far out of all my watches I had trouble with an ETA, Rhonda and 2 russians.  The asian's have all been fine so far.  The just dont have the prestige of the others.

I didn't mean they got you like you're a sucker.  I just mean they got you cause you gotta itch.   I say they almost got me, just for the price.  It's kinda like a drug.  It doesn't matter if I spent $70 or $700 I get the same satisfaction.  I will be interested just as long.  As a matter of fact I get more satisfaction from spending $70.  Just for the fact that it is $70.  Sorry my post wasn't clear.  I think it is great and your post made me want to go back and look some more.  They had a few different models and prices at my Walmart.  I actually never shop there but it was late and I needed some stuff for vacation.  Looks like I have to make it a regular stop from now on.

Hey, no harm no foul.  I understand what you are saying now.  I actually hate walmart being a small business owner.  But they have run everything else out . No place else to shop without spending an arm and a leg.   My wife showed me the ad in a flyer so we where there and I took a look.  I was also looking to see if they had any automatic Timexes but all they had were quartz.
