The last of the watches I acquired from an estate sale and just back from my watch maker with a complete COA. A vintage Bovet Freres 30 minute chrono with 17j. Landeron mechanical movement and 35mm size. Now running smooth and accurately. Winds like butter.

Cool! Is it a painted or ceramic dial? Re-lume?

It has a painted dial. The hour and minute hands are replacements but the dial is original, Mike. The thing about this Landeron movement is that I can't hear any tick at all. Almost completely silent. After 24 hours, it was +1 second!

I don't see any T on the dial so it may not be radium lume. Does re-luming affect the value?

My opinion is that if the original is servicable, it is best to leave it alone. I don't think that the numerals are lumed, but only painted on. The original hands were rusted beyond salvaging, so my watch maker found hands like the original but they came lumed. I like the look of new against the old myself and I think it makes the watch more usable.

Great find Edgel and I like the fact you only replaced or re-did only what was needed, keeping the original look. A great vintage piece.
