So I finally said what the heck, and pulled the trigger on a Tissot T-Touch the other day. Must be a new record for shipping, I got the tracking info yesterday at 5pm and it was on my doorstep this afternoon (free shipping too!) I bought the stainless steel/rubber strap version. Took me a bit to set it up, I just have to size the strap. The T-Touch is the one ABC that I have been looking at for years, even before I learned of Suunto. When I saw a decent price I had to go for it. I love watches with multifunction hands, this is my third (after my Swatch Fun Scuba and Citizen Aqualand with dive indication through the hands). I'll be comparing the Tissot with my 2 Suuntos, Nike Oregon, Casio Pathfinder (all ABC), G-Shock Riseman (AB) and Citizen Aquamount (AB). Now I gotta go sell some, it's my wife's policy....arrrgh! Thanks Guys! This completes my ABC collection, I can't think of any others that I would want that wouldn't be a repeat of what I already have. At least until that Sector I was looking at comes down to a decent price. Cheers, Griff

That is ultimately my only complaint is that I can't switch the units to inches of mercury on the watch like I can with my Suuntos, Nike and Casios, though my Citizen Aquamount is also in hPa. I know meteorologists use millibars as a standard, but I guess I am old fashioned :) 1013 hPa (mb) = 29.92 inHg = 1 atmosphere at sea level. The T-Touch, Nike and Aquamount measure absolute pressure which means the reading will vary with altitude, lower value with altitude increase. The Suunto Core, Vector and Casios allow you to adjust the barometric pressure to sea level equivalent, which is what you get from your airport/weather station/TV news. What is more important than the actual reading is the barometric trend. The T-Touch shows baro trend by position of the hands, straight up at 12 means pressure is steady, weather is unchanging, to the right of 12 means the pressure is increasing (usually fair weather), to the left of 12 means the pressure is dropping (usually indicating a storm is on the way). It is a very clear way of judging the weather trend, and pretty clever IMHO. The Suuntos and use a little arrow on the main screen and the Citizen an arrow in the upper LCD. The Core, Nike and Casios have baro trend graphs. I have been really enjoying my ABC (altitude/baro/compass) watches through the summer camping season, and I have plenty more Scout events to go. We are booked every weekend through November, my ABC's will get plenty of usehand6.gif Cheers, Griff
