Fantastic mate, I'm glad to see you improved the crown guard lever, that was one thing that always put me off getting an MM. BTW does anyone know of anywhere in the UK where  you can egt these

Cheers

I really like what you have done with the case ... though you seriously field stripped that poor 6497 ;) . If you really need to ever dis-assemble or re-assemble one from here on out, here is a great step-by-step animated guide to walk you through the process:

http://www.eta.ch/swisslab/6497/6947.html

Just click 'Assembling' or Disassembling' to begin the show  . Use the 'Disassemble' or 'Assemble' buttons at the bottom to see the animations ... makes something complicated pretty easy.

Gold hands are the way to go if you want that vintage look.  Amazing what some grit paper can do when you are feelin courageous.

Much better than the stock Rambo look.

Big Congrats Steve....very nicely done.ThumbsUp02.gif

Way to go on achieving a very nice custom vintage look.  I'm really liking the classic looks of these MM homage watches lately, and you guys continue to offer great eye candy as pressure for me to jump the fence and finally pick one up.

With the help of your watch guy and a little hard work (bravery) on your part, this really turned out great!

Thanks everyone. the new movement is keeping great time, "WatchDude" did a great job brining it back to life, and the gold hands match the yellow number dial much better than the green lume black hands that were in there before. I also like the little gold second hand, not a fan of the little white one that was stock and didn't match the hands or dial.

Just ordered a set of gold hands for this Ti.  Not too keen on this stock set up and agree that the gold hands will look better.
