For a long time now I have had a love/hate relationship with the Invicta Lupah design. I like the case design and they are quite comfortable but due to the crystal, are often very hard to read indoors.  So, along comes a special one. This is the first Reserve Collection Lupha powered by an high end Seiko "spring Drive" automatic movement.  A specially modified SII NE20 movement features day, date and power reserve complications. It also has hack, bi-directional and hand crank winding with a power reserve in excess of 45 hours. The case is Titanium and steel and this version features a blue sandstone dial. It is a limited edition of 750 in the sandstone dial and 750 in a meteorite dial. These were premiered on Shop NBC on Saturday morning and were sold out almost immediately. The sandstone were gone in 15 minutes but, it took 2 hours to sell out the meteorite.

I really didn't know if I would kike it or not but, I do so it's a keeper. snoopy1.gif

nice watch Clyde but I think it is time to give you a bit of advice as it was given to me and many others on this board years ago...buy an Invicta to wear and then discard once it breaks as they will never have any value beyond what you paid and even less down the road...and believe me from experience it is very Much less as you can't even give them away! I own more 1st generation Invicta LE's than anyone on the web...bar none...some still in plastic and bought when Invicta actually did make a decent watch for us beginners at the time and I wish I would have listened earlier as my WIS mentor continually warned me! :(

...quick story of when Tim Temple put up the very 1st Lupah...I don't mean #1 of an LE I mean the very 1st Lupah ever made and used in all the adds...mag cover of IW and on the shows when Slop had a real watch show and it was documented as such and it only brought $80. on the Bay!!!...he had to buy it back! ...so please do not buy into the hype with what is said on Slop and the addiction of value pays and start saving your $ for something more substantial is my advice Buddy hand6.gif ...and Please where did you hear that Lupah had a high end Seiko Spring Drive engine cause that sounds like total Slop/Jimmy Sniffles BS mistake.gif...that Lupah uses the SII NE20 Automatic Multi-function and isn't even a true chrono which just happens to be a subsidiary of Seiko....for what you paid for that Lupah you could have bought 1 of 100 true Swiss watches ...excuse my rant but I just get a bit miffed when I hear what some really good WIS like you Clyde are being taken in by with Slop and the Invicta mongers!

I don't buy Invicta for any sort of investment, I own Rolex, Omega etc. for that. Some are really cool fun designs and are becoming better quality as time goes on.  I like unusual things some times.  Actually, I heard that this particular movement wasn't even made by Seiko, it may be made it China using Seiko parts.  Either way there is a five year warranty so it should last that long......

Clyde it's most important you like it for sure and I am happy for you party.gif

... but as far as Invictas being made better now is not true...back in 2000 when they came out and until around 04' they made a nice watch and also sold for next to nothing so it was a great starting point for many of us but since then that brand has gone way downhill all for greed of the owner and his lacky at Slop who will do and say anything Eyal wants.3T has most all the original members/mods of the old Invicta forum from years ago...we know the truth....the good, the bad and the ugly!  :D

also...never buy a Invicta when they 1st come out on Slop  regardless of the hype that is spewed from sniffles lips as it will reappear 6 mos. ....a year from now at 1/2 off and more...LE or not as there is no such thing as a LE Invicta that doesn't reappear in a dozen other dials all claiming to be LE and Sold Out immediately...and 5 year warranty...Good Luck sending your watch in and getting it back repaired or even your watch...if your lucky you might get someone elses!...lol....remember you are relying on the Invicta chimps down in the Panama repair center!

...I still buy the occasional Invicta with a worthy movement now and then but I wait until it is so cheap that the price is worth the movement powering it....and then I don't feel so bad watching it sit in a box after I wear it a couple times because no one wants to buy it for pennies on the dollar...and Eyal swore to me that my Invictas would be future collectibles!...yep...dust collectibles! ...I apologize for being so abrupt and possibly harsh but I am passionate of this hobby and if I can save just one WIS from the grips of value pay addiction and made for TV watches than I will be happy.:)

Congratulations on the new Lupah, Clyde.  woohoo.gif  I'm glad to hear that you are pleased with your new watch and I hope it works out well for you.  I hope you keep us posted on how well (hopefully) your new Invicta is doing.

While my personal preference was the lighter colored dial, I think this is the nicest looking Lupah made. Enjoy!

Invicta was the company that braught me to collecting watches.  When i first saw the brand on eBay, i was amazed by all their different models and nice looking style for an afordable price.  Then when you get a bit more cerious about collecting watches, you realize that a lot of their watches or hommage of other brands when not copies.  Then you realize that they have one of the worst CS on the planet on top of one of the worst QC.
Of 6 Invictas i had, 4 had problems and i ended selling them all exept for the 9937 that was one of their best reviewed watch ever.  I think it's a shame because that company as a lot of original ideas, i cannot beleive all the cool looking watches that they can come with but...

And it's 100% sure that Seiko will never let them use their SpringDrive movement:P

Just my 2 cents.
