The History of Stowa Watch Co.

In 1927 Walter Storz branched out from his
father's watch factory in Hornberg / Kinzitigal, Germany.
Walter chose the name from the S-T-O being the first
three letters of his surname, W-A being the first two
letters of his fist name.

By 1935 Stowa began manufacturing their own
watches in a small rented space Pforsheim,Germany.
In 1938,Walter was successful enough to have been
able to built his first factory.

In eleven years Stowa had made a name for themselves
with an international reputation for high quality timepieces.

Cheers,
Simon
