Well, I hadn't owned a SEIKO in MANY MANY years until last fall when I acquired a Black Monster, then an Orange, sold them both... and found the perfect Seiko diver [to me], the SKX009!perfect.gif
Now I got the Seiko bug I think subtlelaugh.gifand have been looking at several models... acquired a couple recently.

So only Jan 7th and already two Seiko arrivalsmistake.gif ( My Bali Ha'i Q arrived too but it is at the post office ready for pick up!!!!:()

First the Orange Knight I bought from McWright here on 3 T (Thanks!)... a better alternative to the OM for me. I love its lines, bezel to case integration, lug design.... and the orange dial of course. It is not as crazy looking as the OM while being very interesting and easier on the eyes;) Cant explain why but I jus love it! and the lume is top notch... brighter than the 009 and lasts a bit longer.

Second one is the SNK807K2, which just arrived this afternoon and looks great! Great dial/hand design and color combo while remaining very simple overall. Just put it on my wrist a few minutes now for pics, but I find it wears smaller on the wrist than I expected:( . Too bad as I love its design, and it is an auto as well. Gotta figure out if I'll wear/keep it.

Thanks for looking
Brice

Congrats Brice...you are starting 2010 off with a nice Seiko bang!!!ThumbsUp02.gif

You know I'm a fan of Seiko divers and the tremendous bang for the buck that they offer.

Like both of these that you picked up...the Orange Knight is a sweet looking piece indeed...really like the case proportions and classic dial on the Knight.

The SNK807K2 is new to me as I typically have a thing for the Seiko divers, but I like this one alot.  You comment that it is wears small...is the case ~ 40mm or so on this one?...these pilot style watches usually wear bigger on the wrist due to the large dial diameter with relatively little bezel surround.  I think it looks great on your wrist shot, and have to agree with you...love the hands and nicely blasted case on this one.

Enjoy these Brice!!!

I got reacquainted with Seiko myself a while back with a 007.

I'd had a few digitals as a kid, and a dressier quartz my folks got me when I was in college and then forgot about them for a while. Until a few years ago I didn't realize the huge variety they produce.

Enjoy those!

Love the orange Knight Brice.hand6.gif  As for the pilot, always liked their design but at 38mm I think, I always though it was i tad to small, but it actually doesn't look bad on your wrist shot.  Could you post another wrist shot? As for the Seiko bug, well I thing once you have it, you die with it... I just picked up a vintage Darth Vador chrono, white dial (6139-7100) yahoo.gif.  I was looking for one for long time but most of the vintage Seikos on the market, are restored with aftermarket parts and are usually not that great, unless you pay top $$$...can't wait to see if the one I bought is as nice as the sellers says, it's all original and looks like it's been restored the right way, will see in a few days/weeks!

Anyway, enjoy your two new Seiko's and that's the way to start 2010! party.gif

Thank you guys for the kind words!!!

Daniel, congrats on yours!

I'll take more pics. Problem is I measured it and it is 35mm!!!! It looks tiny but I'll take more pics this week-end. I expected it to be 38mm which I think I would have been happy with. I thought I had read this model was 38mm on a website and was surprised when it arrived. My bad though! Shuold have doublechecked...
