Hi 3T WIS. I got this Seiko 5 Sports on the first Sunday of the year as I was just looking at watches on show windows. Rated for a 200m diber, it reminds me of Darth Vader's helmet but what attracted me to this big Seiko are its hands and its robust design. Dimensions are 48mm across and 51mm with crown. It stands 15mm tall and has 22mm lug widths. I'm unsure if it's PVD at the price point I got it for or simply black steel.

I'm still unsure if it's a keeper but who knows with super high value Seikos. Hope you like it.

Here's the caseback --- very much like the propellers of a sub as one trails the sub's wake

Check out the crown and similarity in profile and screws to the Frankenmonster series

Here's a size comparison with the Dievas Aqua Luna which has a 44mm case size

And another comparison to the Steinhart NavB at 48mm

Congrats Jeff! I'm rarely on Seikos but this model looks really cool;)
The bezel screws gives it a very tough look and the markers are strong enoughhand6.gif
Give us a little precision rate from the mvt please if you can! Enjoy this baby and may the force be with you! Allways!

Way out, that one Jeff!!yourock.gif
I like the fact that Seiko is breaking its conservative image by putting models like these on the market.
Everything about this puppy is fresh!  I particularly like the sharp hands and typeface of the 12 and 6.
I take it the inner compass bezel is operated with the crown on the left?
I have never seen this model anywhere else, neither anything similar.  The PVD is also bold.
Congrats and enjoy!
