Thank you Oldecrow for the compliments. Vintage Omega Seamaster 354 Bumper Wind Automatics are getting harder to find in near mint condition. The one I've got,was purchased from the same seller who had previously sold me the 1957 Movado Sub-Sea Tempo-Matic. Cheers, Simon

Grats Simon that watch looks steller and the mesh is perfect for it. As usual thanks for the history as well. I love reading it. Greg

Common sense prevailed as I was contemplating about buying a Rolex 6694 Oyster-Date Manual, prior to getting the Omega. Looks like I've made the right decision. Thank you to both Gregger and Greg for their compliments... I am wondering to myself,as to what would Omegaman would say? ![]() Cheers, Simon

I had the watch authenticated by an Omega Authorized Dealer, as it turns out his watchmaker took a look of the watch and confirmed that indeed it is known as the: 1954 Omega Oversized Seamaster Ref.2577-9SC Pie-Pan. This is the same dial used on the early Constellations, only modified with the script "Certified Chronometre." I am stoked with joy in owning this rare and desirable Seamaster. Cheers, Simon

The Omega Caliber 354 is a highly sought after movement by watch collectors. The reason being that it was the first automatic movement of its kind by Omega to offer the famous swan-neck regulator. In the later modified version of the 354,it was put to the test for Chronometer Observation Competition, which dominated the field against all other movements from competing watch companies. This movement is 17 Jewel with 19,800 bp/h,which at the time was the most accurate movement ever produced. Mine is keeping time about +-5 seconds per day. Please keep in mind that this is movement is almost 60 years old. Cheers, Simon

Please note that the center of the dial is a silver lacquer, that changes to gray or silver depending on the light. This was the predecessor of the Constellation Pie-Pan which was available in 1958. What you're seeing is known as the Seamaster Pie-Pan and that the yellow is the reflection from the flash. Cheers, Simon
