I just picked this up off eBay for $32.00 shipped. So far it keeps great time. I have never really been into the gold trim on divers but on this one the contrast is kinda good looking.

I read about those not too long ago. I actually kinda liked some of the styles. How I understand them is that they are orient movements and dials but with aftermarket cases. Does that sound right?

I think your right..

Orient movement and a Seiko Tuna like stainless case. I like the way it looks Franken or not. If I see another one in a different color I will probably pick it up as well. Can't go wrong for $32.00.

I like it...particularly the countdown rendition from 12 to 3 and the bronze inlay inside the shroud canal. This looks really mean and a steal at 32 bucksThumbsUp02.gif. Wear it in good health.

As far as the case goes Orient makes cases exactly like that but w/o the brass/gold trimmings. The Orient Beast  is one watch that had the same type case. can show a pick if you like.

Yes this franken orient is knockoff. Its nice though.
Purists would cringe at this one. LOL.

But can't go wrong for the price of a beater.
