Well I have been too busy to post New Arrival threads but I have sold many watches lately in order to buy a few watches I really wanted without spending more of our $, mainly divers, boutique watches in limited edition, since it really is where my heart is... my only deviation were these two gorgeous homages Steve built and I snatched promptly:)

So here they are: the Bali Ha'i I bought brand new from Chris (he is the man!), the Marathon Gsar was a gently used watch from a fellow WUS member, and so was the Ocean7 LM-6 and you all know about the homages so here are the pics.

The LM6 just arrived an hour ago, the BH and Marathon last week and the homages Yesterday.

(now Oscar, I knon, I know.. your server space...:) My bad but please be gentle and keep in mind that this is one thrdead for several watches... ThumbsUp02.gif)

The LM6 is a VERY nice diver, much nicer than I even expected. I had read some less than positive feedback on the brand but this model seems really well built/finished. Bezel is nice and tight and lines up perfectly, can't say the same of other divers I own or have owned in the same price range or more. the shape and bezel have a cool shape I just fell inlove with, the crystal is slightly domed but nothing crazy. Enough though that I could not take one pic to do it justice.:( The dial appealed to me with its simplicity, no numbers, just clean short minute markers except at 12, 3 6 and 9. The lume is too cool and bright! one of my fave with the Gsar's. And the seller just hooked me up with 4 straps!!! The price was very reasonnable for such a igh quality ETA watch IMHO. But to each his own! I know.;)

The homages, well you know, Steve Laughlin made them and did a great job!! You know the mvt and case, but these have ubniue dial/hands setups which really appealed to me!

NExt the gorgeous Bali Ha'i, which needs no introduction on this forum! Chris was just awesome to deal with as usual.. you guys know! he rocks! He and Steve must have the very best CS in this industry!thumbsup.gif

and here are some comparison pics withthe Cudas which has a similar case though smaller and with slight shape differences.

Finally the Gsar which is smaller than i thought though it wears nice, probably needs a bigger/thicker strap or maybe a bracelet (thinking of getting a watchadoo, what do you think?) to make it look a bit more substantial. This watch with its rugged look (complements my Jeep real nicely;) )is much nicer and better built than I expected. The lume just pops anytime, no need for a charge, it just keeps going no matter what! GO Tubes;) ! Best lume I have seen. Just so consistent, clean looking! The dial looks cool too and the bezel just rock as well as the crown... just a lot of nice features and a nice ETA mvt which as of last Saturday 3pm is only +20 sec!!!! 3-4 sec a day!ThumbsUp02.gif

Well  that's it... Let me know you thoughts...

I am going to Florida on vacation Sunday for a week, my dilemna is which watch to wear.oh my.gif. I decided to take 3 to 4 with me in the benarus roll...

I am looking at trading 2 watches for a like new Oris Small Second diver (orange) (one of my two Grails)... Hopefully I'll know Sunday:)toon1.gif

My other grail.... (don;t even know how much they go for gently used:))

Cheers

Brice

Big Congrats on all your new arrivals, BriceThumbsUp02.gif.

I really love the hands of the O7 and the BH. The are tops!

The watchadoo, IMHO, won't do it for your Marathon. I guess stock is the way to go on that.

Take them all to Florida...good time to get to know each one.

Wear them all in good health, amigo.

Great catches Brice, all of them! thumbsup.gif

BTW - Beware the Marathon, just like my DB Ops, the tactical look is very addictive! subtlelaugh.gif Also, IMO, a grey 5 ring zulu with pvd hardware would add substance and still keep the rugged look.
