This is a long project and it finally arrived today after much head-scratching on my side and great efforts from master Kenzo. It all started when I was lucky enough to put my hands on a 2500 C Coaxial movement from Omega: The C marking the last generation after the A and B models. It will certainly be the last of the 2500 serial as Omega move to the 100% inhouse path. The 2500 movement is based on the 1120 who is based on the 2892-2 from ETA... But, at this point, the 2500C is nearly a movement on his own. The Coaxial feature forced Omega to reduce the 28800 Bpm from the 2892-2 to 25200 Bpm giving in fact more stability to it's precision's performance and the all movement hitself been also increase in size to 27.2mm compare to the 2892-2 who is 25.6mm. The thickness stay the same: 3.6mm. More facts: It has 27 jewels against the 2892-2 who has only 21 and is regulated is 5 positions and temperature. I will no name every modifications here but you will find your stuffs there: http://www.timezone.com/library/horologium/horologium631670193290479607 Enough for the heart and let's move to the body of the watch... For those who are not familiar with Kazimon's new creation, the 1500 is a 100% inhouse "Made in Germany" watch. Master Kenzo supervise the all making from a pure bloc of 316 steel and can proudly say that no component come from oversea's country. The sapphire crystal is double domed with anti-reflect coating and the crown has a triple gasket lock. I am one of those who like to see the heart of a watch and with the 2500C inside, the sapphire back crystal was the only option... This feature was absolutely no problem for master Kenzo and the execution is beautifull: Note that there is no grappeling points for any tool there...It's just pure and plain brushed steel. Offcourse the crystal back modification implicate that the watch can't be guaranteed to it's original 1500m water depth rating and was reduced to 500m resistance instead: More than I will ever need anyway, so let's say that the 1000m "sacrifice" was worth for the eye candy I have in return. At last: A thousand thanks to Mr Kazim Kenzo and his team who made them best for me and my difficult mind, as the service was impeccable and the understanding like no others. It never felt like I was dealing with "a company" but allways as it was with the friendly maker himself. Let's enjoy some pictures now! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
