In latter portion of 2010, ZODIAC released a few new collections which consisted of new finishes and colours on some of their existing line up.  One of the new versions is called "Smoke Screen", which is a subdued grey coloured theme.

I've been wanting to check it out, so I took the plunge recently and purchased the Oceanaire diver in this new "Smoke Screen" version.
It arrived a couple of days ago, so here's a few quick pics of the thing :)

I'm more than sure this is not a colour combination for everyone, but oh well ... it works for me.

Thanks guys for your remarks.

I'll probably wear this on a daily basis in a few more weeks from now ... still can't get the Benarus Remora off my wrist at the moment

Hulk if nothing has changed the movement is the weakest element of the watch in that it is powered by the Claro Semang CL88.

Oh, my mistake ! crazy.gif
Of course, the CL88!

I give you right Paxman. This is the weakest element of the watch. Therefore my question!

I almost missed this one Paxman.  A friend was asking me about Zodiac watches actually, so I decided to check their site out to see if they had anything new (but thinking they didn't) ... and lo-and-behold, some new looks/models were being offered.

Like Paxman said, it's most likely the CL88 movement (or is it actually called CL888?).

This movement definitely has hit and miss issues with the stuttering second hand sweep.  Right now my watch 'seems' to have a pretty smooth second hand sweep, but then this could all be in my mind, as I have been tricked into thinking it's all good.  Hence, the name "Smoke Screen" ... ya ya, lame joke
