Big Congrats again, Chris.Of all your Anonimos, I must admit this is the most striking of them all. The dial may be a bit too busy but as Mark said, all the elements combine well. As mentioned in a previous post, the hour hand resembles a "just opened" parachute and that's a detail o really appreciate. Enjoy it in good health for a long time, amigo

Zepp, Oscar, Gregger, Trent, t0t0, Bill, and Jeff...Thank you guys for the continued kind words and congrats on the Hi-Dive!!!  ....and just a bit of detailed info on the "Ox-Pro" treatment that Anonimo uses (for those that care about this kind of stuff). It is a different process than PVD (physical vapor deposition coats the steel with a thin layer and thus can be more suseptable to scratching...although as most know, the quality of a PVD coating can vary quite a bit and also depend on how many process runs are done to obtain a thicker coating). The Ox-Pro process is described as more of a chemical immersion process. The principle difference between Ox Pro and PVD is that Ox Pro blackens a watch through a chemical reaction, thereby altering the properties of the metal at a molecular level, as opposed to bonding an outer coating to the surface of the material. (I have read from a few sources that it darkens the metal to a much thicker level too...something like 20 microns thick as opposed to the 2-3 microns that you typically get from PVD). Consequently the surface is likely to wear more evenly than a PVD surface which remains more susceptible to chipping. The process requires 14 stages and leaves the steel a warm black colour, while preserving the surface texture of the steel. Last edited on Tue Feb 15th, 2011 12:58 pm by stew77 |

A very fine looking watch, I do like this brand, this is a good find. I have been looking at the Anonimo preowned market, not many around at the moment and even less at a good price. Keep looking thats the answer.
