Just got a visit from the FedEx guy yesterday, and he dropped of this little beauty:0)

QD, but will get some better photos of it later.
Just sold of almost all of my quartz divers (Citizen and Seikos), so felt I just needed a Seiko beater (as every WIS should have IMHO), so I bought two ...hehe, Seiko Frankenmonster all black coming in soon also, pics to come.
William/Watchdaddy1 got my Seiko Sawtooth, the rest went locally.

The Stargate came on a black SS bracelet. Although it was quite nice, I feel it looks a bit thin as it tapers down to 20mm, so quicly replaced it with a zulu (haven`t really decided what zulu to go with yet)  This is the smallest watch I have ever owned (42mm bezel/44 case, and 11,8mm high, 50mm lug to lug) And it wears really small also, mostly due to its 11.8mm height I guess. (those specs doesn`t really say "small watch", but at least it feels small to me)
I read on some reviews that the dial was so close to the hardlex crystal that it almost looked like you could touch the dial, and I agree. I would liked it to have more depth, as the kinda shallow dial makes it look even a bit smaller imo. But that`s just the way it is. But for the price, it is absolutely a great value, and it looks and feels very well put together. (everything lines up perfectly, finish is great on everything and bezel action is close to perfection imho, and lume, well ...it`s a SeikoThumbsUp02.gif) Don`t know what these Japanese do with these rather cheap entry level movements, but straight out of the box, it has been +/- 0 (!!!) seconds so far (and we are just talking 24h so far here guys, so know it might change "drastically") But I have gotten GREAT performance out of all my seikos and citizens before, and actually much better than just about all of my ETA movement watches ...that cost WAY more. Before I got this one, (actually a bit embarrassing to say, but ...) my most precise watch was actually my cheap a$$ Marina Militare with an asian automatic (of some sort ...) at a constant +1/24h. But that is just pure luck I guess, and it will probably mess up at some point. One of my best mates has a Seiko skx009 that`s been his daily beater (not a WIS) for several years now, and he claims it gains 1-2 sec a day, and that he only resets it every cpl of months or so ...
So not exactly watertight proof of anything, but hard to argue that seikos aren`t normally a lot of watch for the dough at least.
I for one, love my seikos:0)

Rolf

Thanks guys! Truly a nice "little" watch:0) And at $265 for the bracelet version,  you really can`t beat that quality-wise/value (imho)

Congrats on the new arrival Seiko Stargate Rolf!!!

I really like this one in the all black version (and I agree with your sentiments on a ton of great Seiko pieces that are out there...so much bang for the buck!!!).

Looks awesome on that red strip Zulu too!!! thumbsup.gif

Enjoy!

Thanks u guys! Have it on a black leather with white stitching now, and looks killer imo.
But looks like I´ll just have to settle for this seiko for a while, ´cause my seiko Frankenmonster that was supposed to arrive some day soon, apparently got stolen while in transit ...

But as it was insured from the vendor, I guess I´ll just get another one, but with even more time lost (no pun intended:0).

Very nice, Rolf. I agree with you....a small Seiko diver but just right for semi-dress occasions, right? It's also very accurate at just +2 secs a day.

Big coincidence I'm wearing mine one today. Mine says Hi!!!
