ROLEX 16600 Sea Dweller

Rolex full set Z serial Rolex Sea Dweller stainless steel black face model number 16600. It came in green box, including the polishing cloth, BOTH tags including the green serial tag, original UNNAMED AND UNADDRESSED punched French warranty papers with the super lucky "888" prefix region code, French translation manual, and Rolex manual. Tool kit and diving link were also included. The original punched papers is in French, and has no name and address

It even has the original bezel protector!

The watch has never been polished, and it is in near mint condition. There are few normal desk diving marks on the lugs, but absolutely no chips in the lugs or the crystal. The bezel insert is original and like new. Pictures

Thank guys, it's a keeper for sure, impressions, 1st off it feels AWESOME , it's small which I'm starting to like more these days, the BIG watches r a fad for sure IMO, I started collecting huge pieces, , but over time my tastes have changed. So far it's spot on as for accuracy, but I just got it, the bracelet is amazing, It was a choice between the new sub c or the 1 I've always wanted SD, in the end the SD won me over.

I had the guy put my name on the pprwrk, is it to late to take to a center then?? Did I F**K that up ???

Nope! Not too late, amigo. You can take it to the Rolex center anytime and you'll have to wait about 20-25 minutes for the Center to verify etc etc the watch, whether brand new or pre-owned against their records, which are international in content. But the wait is worth it.

Jeff what is a service center ?? A Rolex AD ???

Not quite, amigo. A Rolex Center is place, owned by an independent, where all Rolexes and Tudors in a certain area get sent to for AUTHORIZED servicing either within or outside the warranty period. It's like "franchising" all the servicing of Rolex watches to an independent entity totally separate from all ADs. This is to maintain secrecy of ownership and to foster independence between sales and servicing. They do not sell watches because Rolex wants to protect its dealers but sometime in the past I think they did. There may be a few Rolex and Tudor Based on recent developments, even Rolex ADs are getting rationalized thus for the state of California for example where there may be 20 Rolex ADS, Rolex is slowly cutting down the numbers to maybe 12 to 15 of their Top Performers.

There is also a trend for Rolexes/Tudors to get exhibited inside the ADs' stores but at a separate lobby "distinct" from other brands. This is to call special attention to the brand.

Of course, there may be minute differences from country to country but like many things in this world, Rolex is evolving.

I suspect your SD won't be your last Rolex
