I want to thank you Brice for taking the time to post up your thoughts and impressions. Unfortunately I am the lone naysayer. Nothing personal Brice but I think you may have had the kool-aid. I find it amusing Bathys has come back around and seems to be embraced by the WIS at WUS. I am assuming this because I do not read anything at WUS anymore. I like my information free from prejudicial adverts. ![]() At any rate it is ironic Bathys has returned to world of the marvelous interweb to move watches and at "reduced" prices. Patterson was so eager to abandon the forum crowd after they made him so that he could attempt to get top dollar for his watches in exclusive boutiques. I would imagine that didn't work outr so well or am I to believe Bathys has returned to do us all a favor and offer a great watch at a reasonable price? I think not. This is business. My concern is nothing has changed and you are now buying old stock which has been gathering dust for four years or so. If you do a search on 3T you'll find a thread in which a member purchased an ETA 100F only to pop the hood and find an SW200 in it. And it was dirty too. Once I saw this I knew exactly what we were being fed and it was pure BS. So my opinions are based in fact. I also was warned by JP about quality issues with Rolex watches. Please... you are gong to warn me about a premier watch brand when you have sold a watch with a dirty SW200 instead of the promised 2824? Additionally the movement was held in place by two flimsy screws which look fairly fragile So I hate to be a naysayer but part of what we do here is to help and protect. While the watch is moderately attractive and sporty, I don't see it as being a good value or a solid product. My fear is inexperienced WIS or those with short memories are purchasing old stock and may not be getting what they are paying for. Again Brice I want to be perfectly clear his is not a personal attack on you or your decision to get a 100F. This is my opinion based on what I have seen over the last five or six years.

Thank you Mark. I understand your point and do NOT take it as a personal attack, your opinion is welcome here. I have to say that one I was not aware of some of those facts. However, yes I agree about the stategy chnage is not for us but a business decision, I am ok with that part. I got a watch I had wanted at a price I am ok with wherre I was not before at $1100 or so. I also want to mention that I bought the watch KNOWING that some are equipped with the Sellita mvt while others have the ETA 2824. It is actually advertised as such on his site, as it is on others like Christopher Ward, Tag and Oris. I personally have nothing bad to say on the SW200 as I have no issues with it on the Oris nor the Tag. But I am definitely no expert but at least I knew that getting a Sellita was a possibility. As for the dirty mvt, I cannot speak to that as I have not opened the watch. I suppose defects, dirt undert the dial and other issues happen with many brands so is it possible it happened on Bathys watches, yes I am sure. But again I cannot speak from experience. All that being said Mark, I do love the watch and how it wears so I am pleased with my purchase.
