Having had this one a week now I thought enough of it to share my impressions. This latest watch from Deep Blue is a very nice package, especially for under $300 which is what i got it for.

Specs:

47mm case from 10 to 4, the case design does not break any inovative barriers, but is a consistent design that looks good and wears nicely. Well finished also.

The watch is 1000M WR with a HEV at the 10 position which I like as it is out of the way and adds a bit to the design IMHO.

Now to the features that I feel make this a winner.

The dial is a nice sunburst design and the Orange color is deep and rich. The Saphire crystal is AR coated on the inside and offers a distortion free look. Even the date window is very very legible. The applied markers are well done and give a classy simple look to the dial. If there is a negative, though nicely done, I think  that the hands should be a little longer. Superluminova is used on hands and markers and glow though the night.

The bezel on this one is a very strong point. 120 clicks, smooth as butter and lines up perfectly. Though not ceramic, the coating used sure could pass for it and looks awesome. The lume is nuclear and evenly applied.

This little gem is powered by the new Miyota 9015 movement. It is keeping time with COSC specs so far. Starting to believe that this movment was really modeled after the ETA 2892 because the sweep of the second hand is the smoothest I have seen with undetectable stutter. Crown unscrews nicely and adjustment clicks are crisp.

The Bracelet is SEL with substancial links. The clasp is a typical safety flip lock with push button deployant. The clasp has only 2 micro adjustments which has been an issue for a good fit. No 1/2 links were provided but are being made and will be available to owners soon. It does have a diver extension for wet suit wear.

In summary, this timepiece offer above average fit and finish and at a price point well below other micro brands with similar features IMHO. Worth owning if the design appeals to you.

A few pics and thanks for looking.

A little late to the party, but Congrats on this one Tony!

I like the dial and the look of the bezel on this one (like you said, a unique look to the bezel finish...kind of looks like a matte ceramic due to the finish IMO...cool.gif).

Enjoy!
