I'm a sucker for vintage Zenith watches with odd shapes.  My latest acquisition is a NOS rectangular Zenith with 2572pc movement (01.0040.380):

The wax was still on the back and sides.  I got most of it off, but the rest is a little  stubborn. Any suggestions on how to best remove it (other than my fingernail or a toothpick)?

Despite being on the original bracelet, the only way to adjust the size is on the clasp and my wrist is just too big.   I thought I would have to put a strap on it, but fortunately Scott (Timesofplenty) reminded me I could always just use a clasp extender.

Sure enough, that did the trick:

I even managed to find a picture of it in an old Zenith catalog from 1974...

Finally on the wrist!

Thanks for stopping by!

Mike

Really cool vintage: Congrats!
Funny Franco-English misshaped translation on your paper with "glace minérale trempée" as "glace" in French is used for "ice" or commonly for "mirror".
It should be "verre minéral trempé" in fact...
