After looking at these for quite some time...I decided to buy one with the bubble date since I have no other watch that has the feature....The band was beadblasted which matches the huge case perfectly....when it arrived I thought it to be the biggest chunker...heavy and tool like....until cuz Pax came over to view it wearing his GIGANTIC ORSA....nonetheless I find this a steal at around 500 dollars .....I love the look and feel (the ss band is as comfortable as my Omega Seamasters) It has been plus 4-5 per day , and that is about what one can expect

Great looking watch we will have to add one to the collection.  I was looking at the deal that Westcoastime had on the SAR in the 3T Favorite Vendors area they all look great.

I got one new in June '05. Came on the rubber Marathon strap and i got the optional bracelet. I had been lusting after one for two years before i got it. I was a little disappointed when i got it. Too small for me. Don't get me wrong,it's an awesome watch. I just wish it had been at least 44MM and maybe a 22MM lug width, then it would be a keeper!!! Pics of mine when i first got it. That's fuzz on the crystal:) Sorry for the crappy pics.:D It's sitting in the zipper Breitling pouch that came with my Seawolf.

I went to see CJ's new addition and wore my Sea Angler as i didn't want to be overpowered by what I thought was going to be the biggest, meansest chunk of steel I'd seen in some time. Surprisingly, i found it to be more refined while still retaining an overall tool quality. CJ's is beadblasted perfection and a real beauty! In fact, I put it on and promptly drove off with it on my wrist and the Sea angler in my pocket. CJ's a trusting sort, but he looked a little surprised to see me tooling off with his new baby...

I did return a short while later.

I have been considering the SAR-D as it is a bit more affordable but don't know if it is worth saving a few bucks for what might be a goofy watch??

Pax

I think the misprint on the dial adds to the watch, as long as the watch is a solid piece and the manufacturer has a solid reputation.  It is usually on junk watches with slight diff add up to problems.

What color Sea Angler do you have Pax? The SA is on my list of "must haves". As soon as the U1 comes in from Watch Buys, that's next. I have a 4-6 week wait:(Paxman wrote:  I went to see CJ's new addition and wore my Sea Angler as i didn't want to be overpowered by what I thought was going to be the biggest, meansest chunk of steel I'd seen in some time. Orange Asian made Sea Angler in my stable... Where the Hell are the new Swiss made ones? Many preordered in May, have any been produced?

The Vixa is bigger in diameter but at 45mm wide x 54mm length and thickness 16mm, the Orsa wears larger to me. You'll see Sea Anglers popping up on the slaes forums from time to time. One of my faves!!
