I had seen you post about buying for your friend on another list.  You take the most incredible photos!  You actually got the blue to come out on the hands - how did you do that?  I've saved your photos to my database on my watches because yours are SO much better than anything I can achieve.  What equipment do you use?

Thanks,

-Robert

Hi Robert, thanks for the compliment:). Actually I took many shots to get that. The hands need to be viewed at certain angle, with lightinng also at certain angle too.;) I did some minor touch up with the pics with Photoshop too. ;)

You mentioned it contained a Croc grained strap? Wow!face4.gif I got only a plain black leather strap from SEIKO. I think with a Black or Dark BLue Corc grain or genuine Croc will spark it right off!!!hand6.gif

I almost forgot, I was using a CANON 350D with a SIGMA 50mm macro lens. smile4.gif

Thanks for the information on the equipment you used.  I need to get a better camera.  I'm using a small low-end 5meg Sony that is terrific for shots of the children but isn't very good for Macro shots and has zero lighting control other than flash on-flash off.:(

I mentioned the Croc Black strap because I just got it in the mail.  The standard Cordovan strap is nice but FAR too short for me.  I believe that if your wrist is greater than ~7 1/4 inches (~185mm) the strap will be a disappointment.  So, I purchased an XL strap in Croc Grain black leather for $7 and added a $10 deployant.  I'm looking at getting a nice Cordovan Color Croc strap for it too.:P

XL straps (215mm+) are rather hard to find at descent prices.  I've been gathering information on companies that routinely stock them and sharing it on another list that has a forum devoted to Straps:)

Do you use a light box in your photography of the watches?

I tried my other Sony - only 1.3meg but it has laser tech for focus and seems to do a bit better job on closeups.
