I couldn't help it, it was on sale for $75!  So I bought both the Zippo Quarters Set and the Timex/Maratac ACQ compass watch.

This is a really nice piece for the money and will be sure to see plenty of action this summer, as we have 4 camping trips planned with the Cub/Boy Scouts this summer (one each in May, June, July and August).  Somehow I got enlisted to be in charge of our Pack week long Resident Camp in July...

Cheers,
Griff

Thanks guys!
I have always had a soft spot for Timex, a hand winder that was my Dad's was my very first watch way back when.  I had it on one of those funky 70's wrist cuffs, it was a hip Timex, LOL.  This is my 4th in recent years, joins an Ironman analog chrono, the new Automatic, an ana-digi compass that I gave to my older son when I got my Suunto, and now this one.  This compass is the coolest of all and seems built like a tank with a very smooth bi-directional bezel with just the right amount of friction and a lumed North pointer.

Yes, it is a nice satin finish, and the best part is I can get all different color Zulu/NATO straps to put it on.  I have it on a gray right now, I may get an orange one for laughs, that'll get the Scouts' attention!

Cheers,
Griff

Great watch Griffhand6.gif Funny you post on Timex...I was at Target yesterday and they had 2 sweet looking Timex watches for $89/99.

I have been looking all morning to find some info and pics for the forum, but no luck. These had the Citizen Eco/drive look, with retrogade day, 24 hour indicator, date wheel with a diver look.

Timex seems to be making a movehand6.gif
