Well I got a great price on a used K3 on one of the other forums last week and since I already have one just like it that I was particularly fond of it made sense to grab this one while I had an impulse to do so!
I got a pvd "go" watch over a year ago and was very impressed with it so a short time later I got a good deal on a blue k3 on stainless bracelet from another forum member only to discover when it arrived that it had a serious crown problem which the previous owner may not have even been aware of without the ability to compare it to another. the short story is my blue K3 needed a crown and crown tube as the one it had was only barely grabbing threads before stopping and this seriously compromised it's water resistance.
After trying through several sources last year to get a crown and crown tube and getting long winded fairy tale stories from both sources I wasn't any closer to getting parts. So a couple months ago I tried again and was referred to the domestic importer himself and in an email was told rather curtly that they don't sell parts but if it was under warranty I could send it in. face4.gif
I'll dispense with the paragraph of expletives and just say that if the guy responsible for that attitude was an opossum I would drive in the ditch to smear his ass all over the front of my car.
The moral of this story is Vostok Europe watches are pretty much like Invicta's, Disposable at any price. If you are comfortable with this idea then enjoy your watch but you might want to pick up an extra for parts just to be on the safe side. That is what I finally had to do and I certainly won't be buying any more.
now on to the good news:
