After wearing my Seapro yellow diver twice, I noticed a bad case of the "Miyota stutter" whenever the watch wasn't dial up. I have read many times of that particular quirk of Miyota movements, but out of the all the watches I have with that movement (2 Citizens, plus my son's cushion Citizen, plus an Invicta 8926 and an Alpha PO with a Miyota replacement because the original Chinese movement stuttered BAD) I have never seen it. I figured I would exchange it since I really like the watch, the bracelet alone was fantastic, but they refunded me at SAH so I needed another yellow diver. At the same time I came upon Tony's post about his Corsair so I grabbed one, it will be here on Wednesday. I can't wait!
Snatching victory out of the jaws of defeat! LOL!

Cheers,
Griff

If you weren't satisfied with the Sea Pro you're better off getting something else... NICE CHOICE!!

I really liked the SeaPro, but the stutter bothered me.  At first I was just going to ship it out to Duarte for a new movement, but I thought I have 30 days to exchange.  I guess they must have been out of the yellow since they refunded me instead of an exchange.  I was originally going to go with the Corsair but I figured it would be a bit harder to hide that bill (since SAH has "flex" pays).   Don't get me wrong, I really liked the SeaPro, the bracelet is awesome and so is the dial.  I must have gotten a misaligned Miyota since I never saw one with that amount of stutter.
I am really looking forward to the Corsair, looks awesome from Tony's pics :D

Cheers,
Griff

Definitely awaiting your comparison on look and feel of the SeaPro versus the Corsair... will be interested to see what the difference in "color of yellow" the dial is between the 2.

Here is a quick comparison between the Corsair and the SeaPro:

Corsair - ETA 2824 movement, hand winding and hacking and that smooooooth 28800 bph sweep
SeaPro - Miyota movement, hand winding, no hacking and that darn stutter that I hope was unique to my sample since I have no other Miyota that does that.
Both are date only movements.

Corsair - Nice yellow dial, I like the applied markers with Arabic at 12.  Hand lume is excellent, dial lume is good.  Unique hour hand, I really like it!  The dial text markings seem just right.
SeaPro  - Awesome textured dial, "standard diver" style markers.  Lume on hands and dial is good, sword hands are nice.  I also like the contrasting black second hand of the Corsair over the red second hand of the SeaPro.

Corsair and SeaPro have big chunky crowns, both screw in just fine.
I like the Corsair bezel better, it is unique combining the silver and black, the SeaPro is more like a Seiko SKX style bezel.  Also, the SeaPro bezel didn't line up perfectly.  The Corsair is right on the money, both 120 click (if I remember correctly)

Bracelets, well, the SeaPro bracelet is in a class by itself, it really is awesome.  The Corsair bracelet is nice, comfortable, with screwed solid links and SEL, but not as nice as the SeaPro.

The SeaPro has an exhibition back which is cool but for me not necessary on a diver, plus the Miyota in it isn't hand finished or anything like that.  The Corsair is a limited edition of 500, I don't know about the SeaPro but it seems that SAH can't keep them in stock so they must be a great seller!

I originally wanted the Corsair for my second yellow diver but went with the SeaPro because of price and the 2 'value' pays.  I figured I could get that past my wife easier.  Now that I have the Corsair I am much happier (though having both would be even better, LOL).

Ken, go for it!!!!!  Fred at Berhardt is very responsive and contacted me after my initial email within an hour hand6.gif

Stock photo, I just smuggled the watch in this afternoon and had to size it in private, heh. subtlelaugh.gif

Cheers,
Griff
