While in Ohio for a funeral, my son was at an old house that still belongs to the family.  He was upstairs looking around when he found an older Seiko Automatic DX.  I tried to get it to work, there, but was unable.  But after my son accedentally dropped it, it starting working.

Any way here is a pic of the Watch.  Can anyone help me find any info on this watch and how to set the Day/Date would be wonderful.

Also my son wants to know if it is worth anything... Sorry for the poor pic, but my good camera is with my Wife at work.

I'd say that Seiko DX 17 Jewels Automatic is a 1970's or 80's make. Not much coming up in a search so you will have to wait on a Seiko pro to jump in. Nice old find.

Dose it have a 6106-xxxx reference number on the case back?

Yes it has 6106-7047 on the back....

Would have taken a pic, but my good camera isn't at home.

I may have fixed the band, just needs adjusted to fit now, since my son would like to wear it.

From what I could find it is the old Seiko 5 Actus there have been a few heads to sell it looks like on the Bay.

There is also a 23 and 25 jewel version of the watch. All I could really find.
