Not one of the divers, unfortunately, no room in the watch budget. Still on the list though!

Just received my Orsa Military quartz today. Stainless w/ a nice grey face and matching military style strap. Picked it up on the 'Bay, great price. For anyone wondering, he has all the colors on auction right now, this might be a good time for any fence sitters.

I like the brushed finish, very utilitarian. Very clear dial, easy to read. I'm very impressed w/ the lume so far. I'll be able to see it better tonite to judge, but I'm sure it's up to their high standards. Very easy to read in the dark. Luminous hands, including the ball on the second hand, plus the triangles at the hours.

I'm still on the fence as to the strap. Great style, and the color looks great w/ the face. I've never had one of these NATO style straps, but I'm sure I'll get used to it quickly.

I'll get some pics tomorrow or Sunday and get them up. All in all, I'm very pleased w/ my first quartz purchase in 15 years, and impressed (not suprisingly) w/ my first Orsa.appleABgWHT.gif

Good watch Sleddog.  Three Orsa's here and wear that military style when working around the yard.  Put mine on leather.

Congrats Dave...even though its quartz, and you all know how I dislike quartz, I have bid on several of those because it is such a good looking watch and an ORSA, to boot!  NICW WATCH!!!

I completely agree as far as the beater comment. While this will be by default, being smaller and quartz, and inexpensive, I certainly won't be using it to pound in any nails.

I'm trying to figure out what strap to put on it. This NATO is very comfortable, to my suprise, but w/ the thinner watch, I don't like the extra loop near the top. I might look for a 2 piece NATO, so that I can also put a deployant on it, as I really prefer the convenience. I'm also considering one of those nylon and leather straps. On a typical watch they can look a little Timex-y (is that a word?), but it would fit the look of this one. It's really a shame, because this grey strap really looks great w/ the dial.

Thanks for the comments all!

BTW, does anyone happen to know if the beige faced one has a luminous dial? The auction description seems to indicate it, but before I bid on one I'd like to make sure.
