Just got this today from a trade. Nicer than I really thought it would be. It is my first titanium watch. A lot lighter than I thought it would be. Don't know if I will get used to that or not as I have mostly heavy, chunky watches. It is a chunky watch but light as a feather. It came with the nice vanilla scented rubber strap as well as a very nice Ti bracelet.

Specs are:

  • Swiss made, eta calibre 2824-2 25 jewels, most popular automatic movement.
  • Date calendar .
  • Titanium case.
  • Ratcheted, unidirectional rotating, 0-60 elapsed-time bezel.
  • Screw-down sport style crown.
  • Sapphire flat profile anti-glare treated scratch-proof crystal.
  • Black color guilloche texture raised markers with super-luminova dial.
  • Steel color super-luminova luminous filled hands.
  • Screw-down style case back.
  • Titanium combination polished and satin finish bracelet width 24mm band.
  • Sport style and security flip-lock clasp.
  • 1000 meters water resistance.
  • 44 00mm 15 00mm case size.
  • Two years limited factory warranty.
  • Helium valve .

Congrats and welcome to club Oris. I so love mine. And it did take some time to get use to it being so lite weight. ;)

I have the 300 meter/1000 foot one. Sometimes you can forget it is even on.

Very nice catch Steve, I've always admired the Oris TT1 divers, I don't have any in my collection but have had the chance to try a few on my wrist. Oris makes a really nice quality watch. That 1000m of yours is sweeet! I like the thicker case the 1000m and the TT1 dive chrono have, makes it feel more substantial.

Hey Steve, If you can't get used to the light weight feel of the titanium, shoot me an email if you decide to flip it. ;)

I really like this watch on the bracelet. Feels more natural on the bracelet than the rubber strap and I normally prefer a rubber strap over a bracelet. Still feels weird on the wrist. Almost like I have a plastic toy on my wrist. You look at it and think it should weigh a whole lot more. It is a fairly substantial sized watch.

One thing that really pleases me about this watch is the length of the lume. I wasn't too thrilled with the lume of this watch. It is OK but nothing special. I went to bed last night and I awoke around 4 this morning. Looked at the watch and it was still glowing fairly well. I could read the time on the dial. I can't do this with any other watch I have without my glasses except my GSAR and it is even tough for me to read. All of by big lume watches have no glow after that amount of time.

Here is a cruddy shot on the bracelet. I just picked up the camera sitting on the table next to me and took a shot. Didn't clean it up or anything. Just clicked a pic and plugged in the camera to the notebook. I traded the Enzo I had for sale for this watch. I am starting to have less separation anxiety and feel I made a very good trade particularly since I still have my other Enzo.

    Nice one!    hand6.gif

Think you'll "bond" with it pretty quickly if you give it some wear.
