Thank you everyone for your kind comments!

As known to many, WIS guys who own PANERAI would like to have a nice strap or straps for their Pannys. OEM straps ok but nothing to brag or excited about, besides their prices are not cheap. So with a little lesser or a little more, many would for after market straps.

For me I prefer something which is not common, meaning not your everyday crocodile, lizard, ostrich, shark, alligator....etc. I wanted something different. Something that "TALKS" even it is not in motion. Hence I had been doing some searches and decided to give a try to get one of Shane Delaurian's straps. It does not come cheap though but I still can afford it (breaking my piggy bank). But to compliment a watch like the PANERAI PAM111, this strap do more than that!

DO NOT BE FOOLED by its look! Yes it is CHUNKY, FUNKY, …..etc but when you strap it on, it does not make you feels like you are wearing like a Bund strap! Bear in mind the strap has a standard 24mm thru out the entire length. It wears like any other 24mm/24mm strap, and the due to the quality of the leather, it is surprisingly very COMFORTABLE! I know some of you like it and some are not fancied by it. I think Delaurian’s straps are like a “cult” thing, either you are IN or you are OUT.

Just like Harley Davidson, would one pay so much bucks for a HD (for e.g. Softail Heritage Classic or a FATBOY), without ABS, so many chrome parts to polished, vibration(for the older models) that makes your jewel numb, BIG engine but LOW horsepower??? That being said, I LOVE HARLEY DAVIDSON!!! Well the choice is yours!

In short, I would said, PANERAI is a nice and solid watch. One can change its look and feels with straps. It is either you wear it with the OEM strap which will be like a classic VW Beetle:

Or you can wear it with an awesome strap like injecting some Nitro into a Volkswagen or mod its engine which give you this:

BUGATTI Veyron 1,001 bhp (using VW W16 engine)
