I have to say, I really do like the look of that Poljot.   I do agree with an ETA 2824-2 as the workhorse, you can't go wrong.  It seems to me that in the coming years, if your automatic has a sapphire crystal and an ETA for the heart, a watch will hold its value quite well.  Seems as if the ETA movements are going to get harder and harder to get over the coming years...........

The second package, from Russia via Germany, is my new Poljot Argus titanium 200m auto diver with an ETA 2824-2 under the hood.  I never saw this one before and happened to stumble across it at vostok-watches.com.  It has a uniquely Russian look but with the ETA workhorse, it grabbed me right away and I had to get it.  I looked it up on the WUS Russian forum and it wasn't popular because of the Swiss movement but I feel it is a plus in case down the road it ever needs repair.
Good lume, excellent fit and finish, and that smooooth ETA sweep, plus a custom fitted rubber bracelet which I will be sizing shortly.

It was a Titanium Two-Fer Friday snoopy1.gif

Cheers,
Griff

Thanks guys, the Poljot really grabbed me :D
It comes in 3 dial styles, the stick markers like in my pic, sorta reminds me of a UTS a little, another black one with Arabics at 12, 6 and 9 (which is a little more "Russian" looking, but with green lume instead of white) and a blue dial with applied markers which was a little over the top for me.

I had the Citizen on all night and it nearly has Seiko glow, really outstanding and it is off only +3 sec since I set it yesterday at 4pm, not bad for a standard Miyota! I don't know why I waited so long to get this one!

Cheers,
Griff
