What can I say? I am a sucker for an Eco-Drive!! I've been looking at these marvels for a while and saw one in person a month or two back. I was impressed with the watch but also somewhat put off by its quirkiness and let it sit. Thanks to jsb806f I had another opportunity to get one at a great price. Thanks for the great deal, John.

I decided it would be an all Ti b-day for me, so this and the DI 300 I got from my good WIS buddy Oscar complete my birthday gifts to myself!! This is a large watch, but very lightweight as its a chunk of Titanium. With the Orca you either love or hate the styling. I am in the former camp. 46mm with a bezel that juts out creating a bowl for the crystal to rest in. And then the crystal is a domed affair which really gives the watch face some dimension. The dial is black but in sunlight changes colors and the eco-drive is really apparent as you will see in the pics. Comes on a goofy rubber strap with little to no chance for aftermarket swapping due to the intergrated strap and tiny lug spacing. No matter, this is first and foremost a tool and in that cpacity it should serve well. Love the eco-drive to death (I know Ken, its quartz) and the second hand lines up perfectely with the markers.

All in all a tasty Ti treat!!

Congrats on that Orca Pax!
I know what you mean, I have been on the fence with that one myself, though now that you have posted those pics...darn it, now it is on the list!
I love Eco-Drive, quartz or not, got 3 of them myself, there is room for a fourth in the watch box ;)

Cheers,
Griff

Great looking watch!  I too have had misgivings about the Orca, but now i want one for the reasons you have listed.  How about a wrist shot?

Sorry it was too dark last night but here ya' go. The domed crystal makes it hard to get cleanly so this will have to do:
