Ever since this was posted awhile back I had to have it. Package came from Higuchi in Japan yesterday morning and I got a call from the main Post Office (on a Sunday morning!). I couldn't get it until today, and it is a beauty!

My favorite size, about 40mm give or take, fit and finish for the price is excellent, good lume, perfectly aligned bezel and I like the bracelet (which isn't the norm for me :P)

I have one more coming from the same part of the world this week, then my watch budget becomes a pumpkin and disappears into a "family room remodeling" budget

Stay tuned! :D

Cheers,
Griff

Hay congrats Griff. :) That is a nice pickup. Been thinking of getting my kid brother one. I have to sneak a peak at what he has now though. Enjoy that baby. ;)

I know, I know, I wish...my wife REALLY put her foot down this past week.  She took my card!

So I am going out with a bang, hopefully my last purchase for awhile will be here by the end of the week.  All I am going to say is that it is a Seiko...

Hey, I have Santa to look forward after this next one :D.  I am hoping for the TZ courses with a full set of tools/movements/cases/dials/hands.  That way I can build 2 watches of my own!  Plus I have some to go out for COA/repairs (O&W chrono, Poljot chrono, Seiko 6139 chrono).

Thankfully I am not living in the backyard... hand6.gif

Cheers,
Griff

Thanks Skip!  It is comparable to a Mako overall, though the fit and finish might be a bit better.  It is no Orient Star diver, but it didn't cost that much either!

Cheers,
Griff

That is a nice looking Orient.  If they made that in 45mm, I'd pick one up in a snap!

Thanks Guys!

CJ, it is an Orient King Master, technically a "sports" watch rather than a diver as it is rated to 100m.  I would love one of those 300m Orient/Orient Star divers hand6.gif

It is about 40mm, build quality similar to the Mako or slightly better.
Ken, the model is the WZ0241ER, I got it from Higuchi.  He shipped on Thursday, it hit the PO Sunday!

If I could remodel the family room the way I like, my Zippo display cases and a large watch display case would be in the room with a comfortable couch, big screen TV and my hi-fi system :D

I'll try to get some pics tomorrow, hopefully they will look better than the other ones I have taken!

Cheers,
Griff
