My OTV splurge continued into the OGII offerred earlier this month. I've always found this watch handsome... well at least in pix, and threw down a coupon code and VPs to take a look. The good news is it is sized and will set a spell. The bad news... another Slop backorder and long wait, and a one minor detail that just makes this one miss greatness.

Overall I would say this is a very nice watch. There are no QC issues whatsoever in a farily good once over. F&F is very good, and I am the recipient of another very lively Miyota movement. Great size, a lotta presence and a dressy sporty look make for a watch that will get use. Nice screw down crown and fine bezel action. My main complaint is on an otherwise nice bracelet the end links are folded. This just bugs me a bit, but imho keeps the watch from being a great Miyota beater with some good looks. Don't get me wrong... this is a nice heavy watch and looks smashing imho!! I really like the color combo on the dial. I am also bothered by Invicta's unstoppable need to put their name on the case side. PLEEEEZ!!

This one suffers a bit as I was impressed with the Magico OTV I received last week and believe it or not, the Magico seems a bit nicer watch imo.

Q&Ds

Just to clarify, the links are solid and just the end link is folded. I can live with that just fine.

The name on the case is being done by others in the industry, but you are right in that Invicta seems obsessed with doing it. It is getting old if nothing else.

Agreed - at least they could have misspelled it or something to make it collectable.  But still a nice look to it...   always loved blued hands and the blued markers are a nice touch...  good pickup Mark...hand6.gif

Mark I like it  watch2.gif.  Invicta did a good job with the color coridination of the face & hands and dial.  Hey if you change your mind and dont like it, you can always send it back.

It is a fine watch for the money .....personally I would change the strap to a fine rubber deploy anyway, since it is a diver ....but the name on the side is huge and obnoxious......I like the look though cuz

I just got mine in yesterday. Sized it up, broke my darn pin remover trying to do it though, and sporting it to work today. I agree that the name on the side is getting a little old but other than that I must say that i am rather pleased with the watch for the money. I really like the combination of the two blues on the hands and markers. I guess I am lucky that of the three Invicta watches that I own I am yet to be disappointed, call it beginners luck!

Mark...luv you bro, but while it does look nice...it's an Invicta and it comes from the SlopsterNBC...speaking of the logo....that logo alone can turn a beautiful watch ugly!

I don't get too hung up on the "Invictim" thing personally, so that gets a solid "thumbs up" from me.

Besides, I've had more clunkers and disappointments with other "better" marques than I have with Invicta. Granted, a vast majority of their stuff holds zero appeal for me, but models like yours there, the venerable 8926/9937 and the Scuba 500M remain great values IMHO.
