I enjoyed the B-42 Cosmonauts GMT so much, that I sold it to upgrade to the Chrono.  This watch represents one of the finest, clearest, well laid out chronographs I've owned.  The oversized pushers are awesome and a joy to use.

Thanks everyone.  Fortis really knows how to design a clear and legible dial, with no fluff or frills.  It seems like a simple thing to achieve, yet not many brands can pull it off like Fortis.

It seems to be a combination of many very subtle factors that achieve this harmony.  The hands are the thickest whitest element, making them pop off the dial.  Simple, lumed baton hands, nothing fancy.  Telling time is instantaneous at a glance.   The arabic numbers are thinner and less "white" therefore they don't overpower the dial, the subdial hash marks and numbers and hands are so delicate and thin that they receed into the background, until you need them, then they are clear and crisp.  Lastly, the chrono functions are all in orange, so your mind automatically differentiates those elements.  The black day/date also help to calm the dial.

After owning and trading so many watches over the past year and a half, I'm really starting to see what makes one watch work while another very similar watch doesn't.  It all in the subtle details and design choices.
